Being recognized in this way is not only an honor, but also a reminder of the importance of investing in institutions that cultivate talent, innovation, and integrity.
That commitment to developing the next generation was on full display in the 2026 Kerestesi $10,000 Insurance Challenge. This year’s competition pushed students to analyze a highly complex and timely issue: war and terrorism exclusions in the context of a cyberattack. The case required participants to think critically under pressure, evaluate ambiguity in policy language, and deliver clear, commercially sound recommendations, skills that are essential in today’s evolving risk landscape.
We are especially proud to share that two of our interns, Jacinto Alfaro-Martinez and Sophie Fleming, rose to the top in this competitive field, earning 1st and 2nd place respectively. Their achievement is a testament not only to their technical knowledge, but also to their ability to navigate real-world challenges with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.
Successes like these reinforce why we remain deeply committed to mentoring and supporting emerging talent. The future of the insurance industry depends on individuals who can think critically, adapt quickly, and approach complex problems with both creativity and discipline, and Jacinto and Sophie exemplify those qualities.
